NAI Group Continues Global Expansion with New Malaysia Plant

NAI Group, which is the industry leader in the advanced interconnect solutions used for industrial, medical, and telecommunications mission-critical applications, plans to expand its manufacturing operation into Malaysia. This new development continues to consolidate NAI as the world’s leading high-performance interconnect company. The facility, scheduled to come on stream in the second quarter of 2025, will be located in the Bayan Lepas Industrial Park in Penang.

The building of the Malaysia facility is one of the company’s crucial landmarks in a global expansion plan. The state-of-the-art production site will be dedicated to both fiber and copper interconnect solutions manufacturing. This strategic move puts NAI in a better position to meet growing demand for its products, improves flexibility and scalability of operations to serve a diverse customer base in Southeast Asia and beyond.

“We are pleased to announce the launch of our new manufacturing facility in Malaysia,” said Brian C. Strauss, CEO of NAI. “This is a major milestone in our expansion effort, enabling the company to better service global customers and capitalize on growth potential here in the high-growth market of Southeast Asia. The new facility in Penang will increase our production capacities and help us solidify our leadership position as a supplier of mission-critical interconnect solutions.”

The new Malaysian facility will complement NAI’s existing network of manufacturing sites, which includes locations in Warrenville, Illinois; Nogales, Arizona; two facilities in Hermosillo, Mexico; Guadalajara, Mexico; and Suzhou, China. This expansion aligns with NAI’s commitment to providing high-quality, reliable products and services to its customers worldwide, supporting the company’s long-term growth and success in the global marketplace.

This investment by NAI Group in Malaysia demonstrates the group’s will to maintain its lead in technological innovations while ensuring continuous improvement in meeting increasingly diverse customer demands in industrial technology, telecommunication, medical applications, and others. As the company continues to expand its operations on the international front, this facility in Penang will play an important role in driving future growth while ensuring NAI maintains a competitive edge in this rapidly evolving global market.
